These are the stories of Stanford, a lively young pup who must work for his kibbles. He is my son's service dog. Enjoy the antics of these two as they grow up and work together!

Happy New Year!

It's cold and snowy here, so I hope the new year brings lots of warmth and sunshine! I miss playing ball!

Thanksgiving

Boy I am trying to catch you up to my first few months with the boy.  Time really flies when you're having fun eh?

This is me at Grandmas.  My first visit.  Grandma and Grandpa have lots of room for me to run outside and it was a nice day for November!  You can see my all time favorite thing in the whole wide world too....my TENNIS BALL!  OMG! I love my tennis ball!  Grandma and Grandpa also have all kinds of fun smells in the yard:  rabbits, turkeys, deer, fox and once in a while a bobcat! I spent alot of time sniffing around - what a smorgasboard for my nose!!  I was thankful for having my new boy and my new family and home! I would have been even more thankful for some turkey handouts, but mommy warned everyone that I don't get treats and people food! Dang it!

Halloween

Halloween is confusing for us dogs.  Some things look really fun and others look really scary.  I loved the smell of candy, but I didn't like the scary costumes.

First we went to a pumpkin patch.  I really had fun. The boy got lost in the corn maze and I had to do my service dog duty and "find" him. I found him!

Daddy wanted me to follow the boy on the bales of hay.  I'm kind of embarassed to point out that I am upside down in between bales here.  I'm usually pretty stealth!

What is the boy wearing here?  It looks like alot of tasty bones to me! I really want some bones! I went trick or treating with the boy and daddy, but mommy had to come me because I really wanted to run and play with all the kids.  Mommy took me home and I got to hand out candy.  I loved it! All the kids petted me and I got to lick some of them (the ones with sticky candy on their hands!).  I love chocolate but no one will me have any.  How can something that smells so good, be so wrong?

My First Snow

I don't remember snow from my puppyhood days, so really this was my first snow! And I love it!  I can't wait to get out and roll around in it and jump through the drifts!

Notice my fancy scarf? I just got a bath a few days before the snow, but I think I look pretty handsome!

I took the boy out with me too. He got new boots and really wanted to try them out!

I Meet My New Owners!

My first post is about how I met my new family in August of 2009. I couldn't wait to meet them, I bet they heard me bark in the gym when they brought me and all of my friends in for training. We were an excited bunch of dogs!

Here we are together for the very first time! This is my boy and my new daddy.  I got to come out first and surprise them!  I'm a pretty good looking chap, aren't I???

I'm on the left and on my right is my sister Berkley.  We were named after the California Colleges! I miss her but I know she's in a good home with a nice boy too!

After the first day of training, we were pretty exhausted.  I liked sleeping on the bed.  We spent 5 days training and working! We even got to go to a mall, where I accidentally pooped in front of JC Penny's.

I am very happy to have my new family and my new partner! In case you want to know, I came from CARES in Concordia, KS. Click on the link for more information! They are very good people and I miss them too! They trained me well!
